COVID-19 UPDATE

Rest assured! In addition to maintaining stringent OSHA, ADA, IDPH and CDC guidelines for infection control, the Schmidt Orthodontic Team is adding the following protocols to continue our efforts to keep everyone safe.

APPOINTMENTS

  • All appointments will receive an e-mail or text confirmation.
  • If you or anyone in your household is not feeling well, please reschedule.

CURBSIDE WAITING ROOM

  • Please brush your teeth prior to arrival & wear your mask.
  • Once you arrive, text or call 847-516-2010.
  • We will notify you when we are ready to see the patient.

PATIENT CONCIERGE

  • A team member will escort the patient to the hygiene area for hand washing, rinsing and non-touch temperature.
  • Following the visit, the patient will be given a written progress update.
  • Please call or text the office to schedule the next appointment.

ADDITIONAL SAFETY PROTOCOLS

  • To comply with Illinois’ social distancing guidelines, we ask that only the patient enter the office OR one parent when needed.
  • Appointments will be managed to allow for distancing.
  • We have one LESS treatment chair in our clinic.
  • Our private treatment room will be utilized for aerosol procedures.
  • We added HEPA air purification units and UV disinfection to the air circulation system.
